The Amunategi Winery has cultivated the vine and made txakoli for centuries, as was the custom in many farmhouses in Bizkaia, and in particular in those that met favorable physiographic and soil conditions, such as the Amunategi farmhouse.
This privileged location, in conjunction with tradition and passion for wine, and the blend of cultivated grape varieties, make txakolí Amunategi a wine with a range of constant quality throughout the years, with an aroma, flavor and differentiated texture.
At the Amunategui winery we make white Txakolí. Txakoli is a white wine, which has traditionally been produced in the northernmost territories of the Basque Country.
The Txakoli Amunategui has a bright yellow color, with a somewhat intense, fresh aroma and notes of green fruit. The palate is fresh, tasty, somewhat fatty and fruity, with spicy nuances and fine lees.
The grape varieties used, which are grown entirely on the property, are as follows: Hondarribi zuri and Hondarribi zuri zerratia (Petit Corbou).
The suitable temperature for consumption is 8-9º C.
The sale is made in boxes of 3 and 12 ¾ liter bottles.
